Educationist, Islamic Scholar, Writer, & Social Serviceman, Shaikhul Hadis, Alhaz Hazrat Mawlana Principal Mufti Abul Farah Muhammad Maksudur Rahman (R:), Father- Maulabi Badsha Mia, Mother- Joytuner Nesa. He was born on 1st March 1937 in a respectable Muslim family of Singraish village under Chauddagram Upzilla of Cumilla District. He was a meritorious student in his student life, in 1958. He passed first class third position in Kamil Hadis Examination from Madrasah-E-Alia, Dhaka in 1964. He passed 1st class 1st position in Kamil Fikah Examination from Madrasah-E-Alia, Dhaka. He got a gold medal in his education career with the number of government scholarships. Later, he performed as a Shaikhul Hadis (1st Muhaddis) in Sonakanda Alia Madrasah and Cumilla Alia Madrasah for a long time.
He was working as a principal of Sylhet Sunamganj Buraiya Alia Madrasah with the Exemption of Shaikhul Hadis from Cumilla Alia Madrasah till the time of his Death.
He was a founder president of Bangladesh Quran Tafsir Sangsad.
He was a well-known Khalifa of the Mawlana Mohammad Abdur Rahman Hanafi (R:) Pirshaheb of Sonakanda Darbar Sharif and after receiving the Khilafat. He established Darul Abrar Darbar Sharif in his own village and he conducted monthly and annual Talimi Mahfil in it.
He established a Women’s Madrasah in his village for the development of women’s education. He was as an Educationist Islamic Scholar. Shaikhul Hadis, Mufti, Social Serviceman. Sufi Saint and Pir a Kamel, many of his muridan scattered in different parts of Bangladesh. According to 20th June 10th moharram (in the day of Ashura) in 1994.
